BitGenius Terms of Service

1. Agreement and eligibility

These Terms govern your use of BitGenius, a service of Peer-to-peer Privacy Systems Research, LLC (“P2PPSR,” “we,” or “us”). By creating an account, using the service, or purchasing credits, you agree to these Terms and confirm that you can form a binding agreement where you live.

2. The service and AI output

BitGenius provides source-grounded artificial-intelligence assistance. Answers can be incomplete, outdated, or incorrect and are not legal, financial, medical, security, or other professional advice. You remain responsible for reviewing sources and testing information before relying on it.

3. Accounts and security

You may sign in using a verified email account or a compatible Metanet identity. You are responsible for your credentials, wallet approvals, and activity under your account. Accounts and credits may not be sold or transferred.

4. Credits

Credits are a limited, non-transferable license to use BitGenius. They are not money, stored value, a digital asset, or redeemable for cash. Credit use varies with request complexity, context, search, response length, and speed. “100 credits is a typical conversation” is an estimate, not a promise.

Free and subscription credits expire at the end of their stated period and do not roll over. Purchased Boost credits and earned referral credits have no time-based expiration. Credits may be reversed following a refund, chargeback, fraud, technical correction, or legal requirement.

5. Purchases, taxes, and price changes

Fiat purchases are processed by Stripe. BSV purchases use a wallet-approved, time-limited quote. Taxes are added where applicable. Network fees may apply. We may change future prices, included credits, or credit rates; changes do not alter the number of credits already granted.

6. Memberships

Fiat memberships renew automatically each calendar month until canceled. Cancel before renewal to avoid the next charge. BSV memberships cover one calendar month and require a new wallet approval; they do not debit a wallet automatically. Early BSV renewal extends from the current period end. BSV membership charges will not exceed the advertised BSV maximum and will be capped at 85% of the fiat equivalent at the accepted quote.

7. Refunds

You may request a refund within seven days of purchase only if none of the purchased credits or linked referral credits were used. Membership cancellation otherwise stops future renewal. After credits are used, sales are final except where law, a duplicate charge, or a verified technical error requires a remedy.

8. Referrals

A qualifying email-first referral grants 1,000 credits to each party; a Metanet-first referral grants 5,000. The award occurs after the invitee’s first settled purchase. Self-referrals, fabricated identities, repeated payment instruments, chargeback abuse, and other manipulation are prohibited. We may hold, deny, or reverse suspicious awards.

9. Acceptable use

Do not use BitGenius to break the law, harm others, defeat access controls, probe infrastructure without authorization, automate abusive traffic, distribute malware, infringe rights, or misrepresent AI output. We may rate-limit, suspend, or terminate abusive use.

10. Content and intellectual property

You retain rights you have in submitted content and give us the limited rights needed to process it and operate the service. BitGenius software, branding, and original materials remain ours or our licensors’. Third-party sources retain their own rights.

11. Availability, suspension, and termination

The service may change or experience interruption. We may suspend accounts for security, payment failure, abuse, sanctions, legal requirements, or material breach. Non-expiring credits have no time limit, but are not protected from lawful termination, fraud reversal, or account closure.

12. Disclaimers and liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, BitGenius is provided “as is” without implied warranties. P2PPSR is not liable for indirect, special, consequential, exemplary, or lost-profit damages. Any aggregate liability is limited to amounts you paid for BitGenius during the preceding twelve months, except where that limitation is prohibited.

13. Disputes and governing law

Before filing a claim, each party will send written notice describing the dispute and allow 30 days for informal resolution. These Terms are governed by Oregon law, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, and disputes will be brought in courts with jurisdiction in Oregon, subject to any mandatory consumer rights that apply where you live.
